Here’s an update for German ports.
The Verdi union has announced a warning strike for today’s late shift at some major German ports, including the Port of Hamburg. With this warning strike, it is expected that all container terminals at the port of Hamburg stop working for some hours. With your cargo planning in mind, we would like to highlight a few possible scenarios:
- We assume that the operational processes will be strongly affected this afternoon.
- Truck deliveries might only be possible to a very limited extent, if at all.
- There might be an impact on the traffic situation around the port.
